Was born and raised on the island of Jamaica. After completing her Bachelor's degree there, she came to the US and obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. While in optometry school she was awarded membership into the BSK International Optometric Honor Society. She has worked in many different practice settings and in the field of clinical studies and medical devices.

Dr. Whitbournepractices primary care optometry with special areas of interest in dry eye, ocular surface disease, contact lens fitting and orthokeratology. She sees patients from ages 4 and up. Additionally, she has donated her services by providing free eye exams to school children. When not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks, and trying new restaurants.
